Speaking at Village Creek Bible Camp

This past week (July 9-15) I got to speak at the camp I grew up at! It was so fun to be back there, yet in a different role than usual. No longer was I a camper or lifeguard or counselor, but I had the privilege of leading chapels! The theme was "On a Mission" and I spoke on how to live out our mission of loving God and loving others.
Pastor John, from Illinois, was the other camp speaker for the week. He did mornings (thank God I didn't have to!) and I did evenings. I was so glad to be able to learn from someone who has been doing this much longer than me. We got along great!
I was so grateful that even though I was not in the camp counselor role, I still got to be a part of the campers' lives!
I prayed for specific opportunities to encourage campers and God answered by letting me talk with Karina at the camp fire. Instant bond! Thanks God!

Paintball!

Wow! This was so fun! We played capture the flag with paintball guns. I took some campers out, but got hit a few times as well. Ouch! Right in the ribs. Hurts to laugh!
We unloaded our extra paintballs on the camp's golf cart!

Speaking at Covenant Park Camp

In June I spoke for a week long junior high camp up in northern Minnesota. The theme was "Unmasked" and focused on finding your identity in Christ. It was my first time ever speaking for a whole week of camp. It was definately a lot of work to prepare, and at times I felt totally incapable. BUT... God was faithful through it all and the week went great! I got to spend time with a lot of the campers and had several opportunities to counsel, encourage and pray with them individually.

Compliment?

Renee was excited to show me that while I was speaking in chapel, she was "taking notes" on her leg! Mostly she wrote my name all over them! Hmmm.... do you think she was really listening?

I LOVE JUNIOR HIGHERS!

Precious girls! It was fun to get to know the campers and hang out with them throughout the week.

Mis-match Night!

Serving at Joe's Crab Shack

I have been working as a server at Joe's Crab Shack in Roseville on the weekends. It is a fun and laid back environment and a nice way to earn some quick cash. Come see me there!

Date with Auntie Molly

Nolan and Adam wanted to see where I worked, so I took them to Joe's Crab Shack where they got their first taste of crab. I didn't mind people thinking they were my kids. I am proud to belong to them!
Nolan loved to crack the crab for me!
Adam was partial to his chicken fingers.
Nolan came to Joe's Crab Shack so I could embarass him on his birthday. I was proud to announce that he was my nephew! We had a great time!
